Dinnigan unveils collection

Townsville Bulletin - - World Snapshot -

AUSTRALIAN designer Collette Dinnigan’s signature soft and romantic style was again on display as the Australian designer unveiled her latest autumn/ winter collection at Paris fashion week.

Dinnigan, a regular on French runways, combined dark fabrics, graphic prints, lace and brocade to create a striking feminine collection.

Splashes of royal blue stood out from the mostly black, ivory and silver collection of short and long dresses, pants, floaty skirts and feminine blouses. Dinnigan says the collection is about inner strength and freedom.

‘‘ I drew inspiration from Frida Kahlo and Argentina. I loved the equestrian feel that gives women strength and power,’’ she said.
