Tougher state weapons laws

Townsville Bulletin - - Inside Today -

QUEENSLAND will tighten its weapons laws to deal more strictly with rifles, knives, hand-held lasers and imitation weapons. A lengthy review of the Weapons Act and public consultation has recommended changes that will now be acted upon. Police Minister Neil Roberts told parliament the modifications would be made in two phases but no dates were given.
