Road clo­sures and con­di­tions

THE fol­low­ing roads were closed or re­stricted around North Queens­land as of last night. • Bowen De­vel­op­men­tal Rd at Mount Coolon is open to 4WD ve­hi­cles only on the un­sealed sec­tion be­tween New­land Mine and the Belyando Cross­ing • Burke De­vel­op­ment Rd be­tween Clon­curry and Burke and Wills Junc­tion is closed to all traf­fic • Clon­curry - Da­jarra Road is open to 4WD ve­hi­cles only with cau­tion • El-Ar­ish Mis­sion Beach Rd is CLOSED to through traf­fic, due flood­ing at Stag­nant Creek • Fair­ford Rd in Ing­ham is closed at Log Creek and open to 4WD only just east of Tre­bonne with cau­tion urged near the Aber­gowrie and Stone River bridges • Far­rell Dr, Mack­nade is closed be­tween Hal­i­fax and Be­mer­side with wa­ter 400mm over the Annabranch Bridge • Hal­i­fax Rd is closed at Cordelia through to the Washaway with wa­ter 600mm over the road. Bar­ri­cades and sig­nage are in place. The road is also closed 300m south of the in­ter­sec­tion with the Bruce High­way • Tully Hull Rd is closed to through traf­fic due to flood­ing at Silky Oak Creek Bridge • Tully Mis­sion Beach Rd is closed to through traf­fic, due to flood­ing near Merryburn Es­tate • Wood­stock Giru Rd is open with cau­tion due to pave­ment dam­age in many lo­ca­tions. Wa­ter is 100mm over the road sur­face at Ser­pen­tine La­goon and other low ly­ing ar­eas The Bruce High­way is: • open with cau­tion at Goor­ganga Plains, south of Proser­pine • closed at Cat­tle Creek near Frosty Mango to all traf­fic ex­cept res­i­dents with high clear­ance ve­hi­cles and heavy ve­hi­cles car­ry­ing food­stuffs for Ing­ham. Proof of res­i­dence or a goods man­i­fest will need to be pro­duced • closed at the Sey­mour River and Gair­loch Cause­way both north of Ing­ham • closed be­tween Tully and Card­well.
