Heads scratched on returned Yasi money

Townsville Bulletin - - Voice Of The North -

bogan maybe but i have friends from asia and europe who are here to become aussie citizens not just grab the money and run like most on a 457 visa Posted by: mark gledhill Over it, over it, everyone bagging Centrelink employees when its the public who whinge and the rules get changed by the Govt so it suits them. Then blame the staff who are not paid anywhere near enough to put up with crap and abuse from the public on a daily basis. Move on everyone, what ever happened to house and contents insurance, no . . . once again everyone expects the taxpayer to fund their payments now as a given right. Fund the childcare, fund the babies, fund the disasters, fund everything . . . Who’s paying?? People whinge about Centrelink only when their taxpayer funded payment isn’t in the bank but you don’t hear from them when it is. Posted by: SG of Townsville Daz, tsv, not once did I say you did not deserve or you were not entitled to your payment. I said most people, not all people, spent their windfall on luxury items. Look at the sales margins around the region just after the money started being handed out. 48 hours without power was too short in mine and a lot of other people’s opinions. But a cut-off period was determined and was set. Kathleen should have walked in, offered the money back, accepted the run around and gone home with the money, placed it in the bank. She at least has proof of trying to return it. At least T. C. C. benefited from your inconvenience. Posted by: Michael M’Ouse
