Runner for one year

How long have you been running? I had done cross-country at school but I took it more seriously when I joined the Spartans triathlon squad last year. What has kept you going? My aim is to eventually do a full triathlon – I think the running distance will be 5km, so I have the motivation of getting fitter. How far do you run? I don’t calculate it. We run on Tuesdays and Thursdays with the squad, maybe 5km or 6km each time. Any tips? The discipline of the squad helps me keep running. It’s more of an effort on my own. I find it harder to get motivated on my own. Any injuries? Probably a few grazes, I haven’t broken anything. Favourite running fuel? Powerade and water. I don’t eat as much as I used to. I like lots of fruit and vegies. Favourite tracks I like running along the river. I used to walk the dogs on Loam Island, now I feel I can run there sometimes too.
