Monaco bid for Vic­to­ria- based slime sifter Min­tails

‘ ‘ A NAT­U­RAL per­son’’ from Monaco has made a takeover bid for a tiny Aus­tralian-listed miner that sifts through slime and sand for gold.

An un­con­di­tional on-mar­ket takeover of­fer by Seagur Rex Har­bour, a res­i­dent of Monte Carlo in Monaco, for all of the or­di­nary shares in Min­tails Ltd was an­nounced by Mr Har­bour’s lawyer yes­ter­day.

‘‘ I act as an at­tor­ney for Mr Seagur Rex Har­bour, who is a nat­u­ral per­son,’’ at­tor­ney Lau­rence Blum­berg said in a no­ti­fi­ca­tion to the Aus­tralian Se­cu­ri­ties Ex­change.

V i c t o r i a - b a s e d c o m p a n y Min­tails, which has a mar­ket cap­i­tal­i­sa­tion of about $ 9.2 mil­lion, re­cov­ers gold from mine waste on the sur­face of the West and East Rand of South Africa’s Wit­wa­ter­srand Basin.

Mr Har­bour is of­fer­ing cents per Min­tails share.
