MICROSOFT released the latest version of its Internet E x p l o r e r we b b r o ws i n g software free online yesterday, hoping to fend off recent challenges by Firefox and Google Chrome.
‘ ‘ I E9 has j us t r e l e a s e d around the world,’’ a booming voice told a cheering crowd yesterday in the Austin City Limits Live concert hall where a launch party was being held.
Internet Explorer 9 ( IE9) was available for download in 30 languages at beauty oftheweb. com.
The list of partners that have adapted websites to IE9 includes Facebook, Twitter, Pandora, Hulu, and Yahoo!, according to Microsoft.
