Piercing policy angers parent

Townsville Bulletin - - Voice Of The North -

I am a mother of five children, each one of them have to abide the school rules. My oldest child has scars from a dog attack many years ago, but I didn’t go out and get tattoos over them, just to hide them. I’m sorry to hear about your health issues, but there are so many other children with worst scars, but they hold their heads up proud, and still abide by rules. Rules are rules for a reason, to teach these children respect to themselves and society. Posted by: Mum of 5 of Tvl I have no problem with the school enforcing its rules but I think that teachers should also conform on rules such as this, if they are to have any effect, that is. After all, it is legal for adults to drink and smoke but they are not allowed to do this at school. I think a compromise is possible don’t you Mr Principal? The girl has been through enough by the sound of things. Posted by: Jenny Stirling The student needs to conform to school policy. End of story. The principal is doing a fine job and does not need this sort of rubbish wasting his time. Posted by: John Lowry of Townsville
