Memo: book staff holiday
THE challenge is set.
Queensland’s holiday hot spots will be served up on a plate for domestic and international businesses following the announcement of a $ 1 million Queensland travel package.
Companies and workplaces around the globe will compete for the opportunity to win a luxury Queensland reward as part of the Million Dollar M e m o c a m p a i g n , launched yesterday by Premier Anna Bligh.
The challenge is simple. Contestants register and state why their workplace deserves to win the $ 1 million worth of travel experiences in Queensland.
Ten contestants are picked to fly to Queensland for a two-week challenge in August and only one leaves a winner. TRAVEL DEALS: Anna Bligh urges employers t o consider incentive holidays
Townsville Enterprise general manager Scott Waters said the competition was aimed at the incentive holiday market, which was a strong growth area especially for Townsville.
‘ ‘ We’ r e a l l wor k i n g harder now and we want to keep our employees happy.
‘‘ This is just one way for bosses to show their appreciation,’’ he said.
A lot of the challenges are kept under wraps but a skydive on to White- haven Beach and extreme golf challenges are just a couple the contestants will compete for.
Every year companies invest billions of dollars in corporate reward holidays for their staff and Mr Waters said he expected an interesting mix of people to apply for the challenges.
Entrants need to create a n e n t e r t a i n i n g 60-second video showing what makes their company great and why they think Queensland is the ultimate reward for their staff.
