OJ appeal on conviction

Townsville Bulletin - - World Snapshot -

OJ Simpson has taken his latest appeal over a Las Vegas hotel room heist conviction to the full Nevada Supreme Court. Lawyer Malcolm LaVergne is asking the court to consider overturning Simpson’s conviction and sentence, arguing that the jury in the star’s 2008 trial wasn’t fully screened for bias, that blacks were improperly dismissed from the jury and that kidnapping charges weren’t proved. Simpson, 63, is serving nine to 33 years in prison.
