What a croc, Ian culls won’t work

Townsville Bulletin - - Voice Of The North -

I CHALLENGE Senator Ian MacDonald to guarantee to his community that if his party was in government and the LNP allowed a mass cull of any number of crocodiles, t hat t he waters in North Queensland would be safe.

The reality is North Queensland is croc country, and experts agree that no cull would be able to change that.

If a crocodile poses a threat to the community it is removed from the wild.

For Senator MacDonald to suggest a mass cull would mean that children could safely swim in local waterways without the threat of crocodiles is a croc.

I am not going to give people a false sense of security.

KATE JONES, Minister for Environment and

Resource Management.
