Ms Hanson is standing as an independent in the March 26 poll. But she has faced stiff criticism from political opponents, who accuse her of harbouring racist views. That’s not the case, her children have told Woman’s Day magazine. ‘‘ When I’m out, I’ll get the occasional person who is derogatory and says: ‘ Oh, your mum is a racist’,’’ said Steven Hanson. ‘‘ But we know the truth.’’
