Fluoride solution

Townsville Bulletin - - Text The Editor -

2 DM 4814, R u serious?! when have u heard of some1 dying from fluoride poisoning. i drink tap water n r no less dumb ( or sick) then some1 who doesn’t. Intelligence does not stem from what water u drink but from proper education n learning on a daily basis. If fluoride is so bad n has little or no effect, y did brisbane add it 2 their water, after research found that towns with fluoridated water had very few cases of tooth decay, which results from high acidity n sugar in foods n fizzy drinks which eats away at the enamel, ( correct me if im wrong), y do we still have it in our water n y do i have strong healthy teeth. wouldn’t b from drinking fluoridated water or using fluoridated toothpaste now would it? Like every1 else does. Whoops! sorry, did i, with an average IQ, just prove DM’s theory of fluoride being used 4 dumbing down wrong? Amanda J, 4818 Re DM and his tin foil hat ideas about water fluoridation. It’s lethal is it? Really? How about you do your own research. Having fluoride in the water supply significantly reduces tooth decay. Yes, there is a minor risk of fluorosis ( most of the time completely harmless), but the health benefits far outweigh the risks. In your case I wouldn’t worry about your proposed ‘‘ dumbing down’’ effects. It sounds like you’ve already had a healthy dose of that. Sparkling whites 4814
