No leads on missing Declan
POLICE in far north Queensland have no leads regarding the disappearance of Cairns teenager Declan Crouch and describe efforts to find him as ‘‘ increasingly grave’’. Declan, 13, was last seen walking into his front yard at Machans Beach, after school two weeks ago. Police and the boy’s family had been clinging to the hope Declan had run away and was with friends. Despite numerous unconfirmed sightings, Cairns regional crime coordinator Detective Acting Inspector Ed Kinbacher said police had all but ruled out that possibility. ‘‘ We’ve excluded that he was being harboured by some other kids,’’ he said.
