La Nina has more in store
SOUTH-EAST Queensland can expect more rain than usual during the next three months. And parts of the tropics will be cooler than normal. The Bureau of Meteorology’s climate outlook for the three months to June shows south-east Queensland and north-east New South Wales 70 per cent likely to receive above-median rainfall. The bureau says the increased rain will result from cool conditions in the Pacific Ocean associated with La Nina, as well as warm conditions in the Indian Ocean.
