Prince’s visit boosts morale

Townsville Bulletin - - Voice Of The North -

I WAS very fortunate to have the opportunity to meet His Royal Highness, Prince William, during his visit to the cyclone-affected communities of Cardwell and Tully. It was a great honour to meet the Prince, who struck me as a real gentleman.

I was privileged to have a conversation with him, during which he expressed genuine concern for the welfare and circumstances of t he people of North Queensland.

I offered Prince William a warm welcome to North Queensland. On behalf of my constituents, I also of- fered the Prince our most sincere congratulations on his recent engagement to Kate Middleton and wished them a very long and happy future together.

Lastly, I t hanked His Royal Highness for demonstrating a commitment to duty and service, by travelling to communities in North Queensland in the wake o f Cyclone Yasi. Prince William’s visit boosted our spirits during a very difficult time.

It was a kind gesture, that I am sure will not be forgotten.

ANDREW CRIPPS MP, Member for Hinchinbrook.
