Puppy dies from lack of fluid
ONE of the mastiff-cross puppies featured in yesterday’s Townsville Bulletin has died due to lack of fluid.
The two surviving puppies, a male and a female were placed with a carer yesterday and the female will need hourly fluid injections until her health improves.
RSPCA Townsville shelter manager Caroline Shemwell said the puppy was put down because it hadn’t received the essentials in life including food, water, shelter and worming.
The two as yet unnamed remaining puppies were still unwell.
