Gui­tar to strum up cash for Yasi vic­tims

A PRIZED Ma­ton gui­tar signed by Aussie rock­ers Pow­derfin­ger and Sil­ver­chair is the top auc­tion item up for grabs at the Cy­clone Yasi Char­ity Dinn e r a n d A u c t i o n tom­morow night.

It is the only auc­tion item to have a re­serve price, with pun­ters need­ing to bid at least $ 2000.

‘‘ The gui­tar is one of 10 fab­u­lous items to bid on at the event,’’ Jupiters man- a g i n g d i r e c t o r S e a n Knights said. Hosted by the Townsville Bul­letin and Jupiters Casino, the black and white-themed party is at the Jupiters Grand Ball­room. It in­cludes a three­course meal and bev­er­age pack­age, MC Minty from 4TO FM, the auc­tion and mu­sic. Other auc­tion items to go un­der the ham­mer of Ferry Prop­erty’s Garry Byrnes will in­clude a Corey W i l l i a m s - s i g n e d a n d framed Crocs sin­glet, a box at one of the Crocs’ up­com­ing play-off games and a grid walk, chop­per ride and safety car lap at the Townsville 400. Tick­ets are $ 100 per per­son or $ 900 for a ta­ble of 10. All pro­ceeds will go di­rectly to the Premier’s Disas­ter Re­lief Ap­peal.

Book­ings are es­sen­tial and can be made by call­ing the Jupiters box of­fice on 4771 4000 un­til 3pm to­day.
