Top cop’s pain over son
POLICE Commissioner Karl O’Callaghan says he wonders if he could have done more to help his drug-addicted son, who was severely burned in a drug lab explosion. Russell O’Callaghan, 29, suffered burns to his head, torso and arms last Sunday when the clandestine drug lab at a unit rented by Jason Marzoli in the suburb of Carlisle exploded. O’Callaghan was among five adults injured. Mr O’Callaghan wrote to The Sunday Times explaining his personal pain dealing with a son suffering from a chronic drug-addiction.
