Premier to avoid scandals

Townsville Bulletin - - News -

NEW NSW Premier Barry O’Farrell has urged his coalition colleagues to avoid the sort of scandals that plagued Labor, saying they could lead to the new government’s downfall. Addressing the first joint party-room meeting, Mr O’Farrell said the coalition had a huge job ahead of it. ‘‘ Enjoy this moment for as long as it lasts but then get back to work because there are big things to be done in this state, there is a huge job that is ahead of us, and there is no room for complacency or scandals, because that’s what brought Labor down.’’
