Teenager killed: in­quest

SYD­NEY teenager Trudie Adams, miss­ing for more than 30 years, most likely died of homi­cide or mis­ad­ven­ture fol­lowed by a cover-up. An in­quest into Ms Adams’ dis­ap­pear­ance heard the fun-lov­ing 18-year-old prob­a­bly died in the early hours of June 25, 1978, in Syd­ney or its north­ern beaches. Coun­sel as­sist­ing the coro­ner, Peter Hamill, SC, told the in­quest yes­ter­day the cause of Ms Adams’ death could not be de­ter­mined be­cause her re­mains had never been found while years of po­lice in­ves­ti­ga­tions had proved fruit­less.
