Killer killer whale returns

Townsville Bulletin - - News -

Tilikum TILIKUM the killer whale was last night due to give a public performance at SeaWorld Orlando for the first time since he dragged a trainer under water by her ponytail and killed her over a year ago. The 5.4-tonne male orca will feature in a performance of ‘‘ Believe’’, SeaWorld’s main killer whale show, after the company’s president Jim Atchison signed off on the decision. Critics are questioning the move because Tilikum had also been involved in the death of a trainer at Sealand in Canada in 1991. In 1999, a homeless man broke into SeaWorld Orlando and was found dead in Tilikum’s pool.
