Soldiering on

Townsville Bulletin - - Text The Editor -

To those of you judging the ADF whilst eating your breakfast think about their conditions. Stop being so politically correct the soldiers have a right to a personal opinion. To the media, politicians and top brass why don’t you support our troops or send them home? Former ADF member Obviously the reputation of the troops is expendable as the brass jockey for the top job in defence which is up for grabs soon. However the key to this whole sorry kerfuffle was the word ranga used in that clip from Afghanistan. Go figure. Ex matelot bluewater I haven’t read the comments made by soldiers on facebook, but weren’t they talking about their Afghan colleagues and associates, not the Taliban? If that’s true it is totally different to criticising the enemy. It will only work against themselves and cause anger and resentment, which could put them in much more danger much closer to them. June
