A new taste to North Ward
COFFEE lovers of Townsville have cause for excitement following the announcement that well- known Mareeba attraction Coffee Works will be opening a store in North Ward.
With a new store in Port Douglas and an established shop in Cairns, tapping into the Townsville market is part of the business’ greater expansion plans.
Coffee Works will offer Townsville residents 43 types of coffee, in addition to tea and handcrafted chocolates and liqueurs.
Gregory St, where the store will open in mid- July, is well known for its boutiques, cafes and restaurants.
Coffee Works owners Annie and Rob Webber have seen the business grow from humble beginnings as a single market stall at Rusty’s Markets in Cairns in 1988.
The Mareeba attraction now showcases the Australian coffee industry to more than 150,000 visitors annually.
“We see Townsville
a growth city and it is also close enough to Mareeba to service with our fresh products,” Mr Webber said.
The lease over the 100sq m tenancy was negotiated by Colliers International agents Kim Addison and Shaun McLaren.
