Am­ne­sia mys­tery

THE mys­tery sur­round­ing “Sam”, a woman who could be an Aus­tralian suf­fer­ing from am­ne­sia in Cal­i­for­nia, con­tin­ues de­spite a so­cial media storm. The FBI, Aus­tralian author­i­ties and In­ter­pol are work­ing to iden­tify the woman ( above) who was found in Carlsbad, near San Diego, on Fe­bru­ary 1. Lit­tle is known about the woman, who speaks in an Aus­tralian ac­cent and re­calls Perth’s Cot­tlesloe Beach, Bondi Beach, Cairns, By­ron Bay and Hawaii. The woman is about 50 and has ovar­ian can­cer, which is thought to have caused her to have ret­ro­grade am­ne­sia.
