CANCER con Belle Gibson has been taken to court for failing to answer questions on allegations of fundraising fraud.
Consumer Affairs Victoria began investigating the “wellness” blogger in March after it was reported several charities had not received thousands of dollars in promised donations from the sale of her The Whole Pantry app.
Melbourne Magistrates Court yesterday to demand she answer 27 questions, including whether she ever suffered brain cancer.
Blair Ussher, for CAV, said Ms Gibson ( right) had been granted a two- week extension to provide documents, but an hour before the deadline sought a delay, saying her lawyer was on holidays. Magistrate Michael Smith gave Ms Gibson until next Thursday.
