Teens charged on bikes theft

THREE teens have been charged af­ter al­legedly steal­ing five bi­cy­cles worth about $ 5000.

The boys, aged be­tween 13 and 15, have each been charged with one count of bur­glary af­ter they al­legedly broke in to Top Brand Cy­cles on Char­ters Tow­ers Road about 4am yes­ter­day. Another man, an adult, is also ex­pected to be charged.

Townsville Crime Ser­vices De­tec­tive Act­ing In­spec­tor Dave Miles said the five stolen bi­cy­cles had been re­cov­ered.

He said two of the bi­cy­cles were re­cov­ered af­ter po­lice lo­cated the youths on Ing­ham Road at West End about 4.50am yes­ter­day. The other three bi­cy­cles were found at a house at West End.
