CPC backs Asia trade

AUS­TRALIA’S largest pri­vately owned cat­tle pro­ducer says re­cent free trade deals with China, Ja­pan and South Korea are al­ready gen­er­at­ing ben­e­fits. Con­sol­i­dated Pas­toral Com­pany, which op­er­ates 20 cat­tle sta­tions on more than 5.7 mil­lion hectares of land, says it is an ex­cit­ing time for the lo­cal beef in­dus­try. “CPC is … well placed to ben­e­fit from the favourable in­dus­try dy­nam­ics driv­ing global beef mar­kets and is al­ready see­ing the ben­e­fits from re­cently com­pleted free trade agree­ments,” CPC chief ex­ec­u­tive Troy Set­ter said.
