Townsville Bulletin - - NEWS - CHRIS MCMAHON

AS the battle rages at Suncorp Stadium tonight, pizza shops across Townsville will battle the oven to cook thousands of pizzas.

One of the busiest shops in the city will be Pizza Riviera with owner Frank Guglielmino expecting to make about 600 pizzas to feed hungry footy fans.

“It will be crazy,

very busy, I’ve put on extra staff at both shops to cover the number of pizzas we expect to cook,” he said.

“It’s a simple dinner to organise, people won’t have to worry about cooking and most of all, you can have a slice of pizza in one hand and a beer in the other.”

Mr Guglielmino said people should get in early to get their dinner before kickoff, with some keen pizza eaters putting in orders last night to skip the rush.

“People should definitely get in early, orders are coming in very early, it is going to be crazy busy, everyone will want their food before kick- off, the earlier they order the better.

“The ovens will be going full steam. I think the Supreme will be our biggest seller, it is a very special pizza, the people love it.”
