Cattle run sells for $ 10.25m
AN 8615ha landholding in the heart of one of Australia’s premium cattle regions has sold under the hammer in Rockhampton for $ 10.25 million.
CBRE Agribusiness concluded the sale of the property, Seloh Nolem, on behalf of Peabody Energy Australia and Bowen Basin Pty Ltd.
The buyer is a Queensland- based investor with interests in the cattle industry.
Seloh Nolem comprises native and improved pasture, including Buffel, Green Panic and Rhodes Grasses, supporting a carrying capacity of about 2800 cattle.
The property benefits from high quality structural and ancillary improvements, as well as secure water resources comprising numerous bores, dams and frontage to the Isaac River.
CBRE selling agent Geoff Warriner said the property’s central position in renowned beef region was a key factor underpinning the sale.
