Fertility ‘ resort’ is born
A CLINIC offering Townsville women and families fertility and holistic health solutions has opened its doors in Mt Louisa.
The Australian National Fertility clinic is not your runof- the- mill health practice; its luxurious surrounds appear more like a resort than a sterile clinic.
And that’s the main idea behind Chinese medicine practitioner Scott Martin’s third North Queensland practice.
He believes he can achieve better results when his patients are in a relaxing environment.
The spectacular views and facilities at the new clinic’s High Vista Drive premises, leased through Donna Sands Boutique Property, offer just that.
Mr Martin said the expansion of his practices was due to an increasing demand for alternative fertility and holistic health solutions.
“More and more people are recognising that there are solutions available as alternatives to traditional IVF that have proven levels of success and are less intrusive,” Mr Martin said.
“The clinical success
rates of the fertility programs delivered in my Mackay- based practice are at 91 per cent and this has been a major driver to the practice expanding throughout North Queensland.
“Our aim is to resolve the conditions that prevent women from falling pregnant and allow them to conceive the natural way.
“Traditional Chinese Medicine has been around for 2000 years and acupuncture is used as a tool in almost every mode of modern medicine.
“It can help treat everything from the flu to back pain, digestive or period issues to complex health problem.
“There is a reason that this type of treatment has survived for thousands of years and is now becoming a part of the fabric of health solutions in the community.”
Mr Martin grew up in Townsville and now lives in Airlie Beach where he runs another clinic. He said he planned to base himself in Townsville and hoped to have an opportunity to employ more local staff in the near future. Scott Martin Acupuncture and Australian National Fertility is a registered Chinese medicine practitioner with Australian Health Practice Regulatory Agency, Chinese Medicine Board of Australia and Australian Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine Association. The practice is also registered for all private health rebates.
