Jon may rise from the dead
GAME of Thrones fans are latching onto a months old interview with the show’s runners that seems to reveal a certain character could be returning.
Speaking at a roundtable at the Oxford Union in March, GoT’s Dan Weiss and David Benioff alluded that popular character Jon Snow could be returning to season six of the show despite being killed off at the end of season five.
Actor Kit Harrington, who played the popular character, also attended the roundtable and was asked by fans what he would like to see his character do in the upcoming seasons. “I’d like to be a warg,” he said. “I’d like to put myself into a wolf.” Weiss then immediately replies: “Two words for you: season six”.
Snow was stabbed to death in the season five finale but fans have been speculating that the Lord Commander could return to the show in other forms, such as in the mind of an animal.
Harrington, however, has been more absolute about a possible return, saying last month, “I’m dead. I’m not coming back next season.”
Maisie Williams, who plays Arya Stark, has also been more pessimistic about a return of her former co- star.
“We saw him get stabbed a lot in the chest, like, I think that’s pretty clear,” she said. “If it makes you feel better, then yes there’s hope but ... there’s no hope.”
And yet Harrington was spotted this week at Wimbledon sporting his usual Jon Snow long hair.
