Green on the mend
DIAMONDS vice- captain Kim Green is confident her calf will not prevent her taking on a full playing load in next month’s World Cup in Sydney.
The midcourter continues to monitor her training to ensure she will be in peak form for the 10- day event, starting on August 7, after battling calf problems in the NSW Swifts’ finals campaign last month.
Green overcame a calf injury to line up in the Swifts’ grand final loss to the Queensland Firebirds.
The 67- Test veteran said she was taking care to prevent any setbacks, but did not expect to be held back in Sydney.
