Lazarus on Team
RUGBY league giant Glenn Lazarus may no longer be on the field, but he’s registered a team.
Senator Lazarus’s political party, the Glenn Lazarus Team, has been formally registered with the Australian Electoral Commission. The former Palmer United Party senator said he would set up a regional office in Cairns, seek to build a membership base and identify potential candidates for the federal election due around September 2016.
His policy focus areas will be bolstering the Queensland economy as well as improving rural and regional services. He’ll also be continuing to campaign to give landholders the right to say no to coal seam gas development.
