Gib­son speaks up

CON­TRO­VER­SIAL “well­ness” blog­ger Belle Gib­son has avoided a court ap­pear­ance by an­swer­ing ques­tions posed to her by Con­sumer Af­fairs Vic­to­ria at the eleventh hour.

Ms Gib­son is un­der­stood to have pro­vided an­swers yesterday and her listed ap­pear­ance at Mel­bourne Mag­is­trates Court to­day was averted.

Con­sumer Af­fairs Vic­to­ria be­gan in­ves­ti­gat­ing the blog­ger in March af­ter it was re­ported that sev­eral char­i­ties had not re­ceived thou­sands of dol­lars in promised do­na­tions via the sale of her The Whole Pantry app. CAV went to the Mel­bourne Mag­is­trates Court to de­mand Ms Gib­son an­swer 27 ques­tions, in­clud­ing whether she ever suf­fered ma­lig­nant brain can­cer.
