Gibson speaks up
CONTROVERSIAL “wellness” blogger Belle Gibson has avoided a court appearance by answering questions posed to her by Consumer Affairs Victoria at the eleventh hour.
Ms Gibson is understood to have provided answers yesterday and her listed appearance at Melbourne Magistrates Court today was averted.
Consumer Affairs Victoria began investigating the blogger in March after it was reported that several charities had not received thousands of dollars in promised donations via the sale of her The Whole Pantry app. CAV went to the Melbourne Magistrates Court to demand Ms Gibson answer 27 questions, including whether she ever suffered malignant brain cancer.
