Ho­gan com­edy cameo first in decades

PAUL Ho­gan, the love­able lar­rikin who put Aus­tralia squarely on the map with his hit film Crocodile Dundee, will ap­pear on sketch com­edy se­ries Open Slather to­mor­row night on Fox­tel’s Com­edy Chan­nel.

Ho­gan plays a car­di­nal in the sketch fea­tur­ing Shane Jacobson’s re­cur­ring char­ac­ter Fa­ther Phipps in the Com­edy Chan­nel se­ries. It’s first time Ho­gan he has recorded a com­edy sketch since the 1980s.

Be­fore be­com­ing an in­ter­na­tional su­per­star on the back of Crocodile Dundee, Ho­gan had his own sketch com­edy se­ries The Paul Ho­gan Show.

The se­ries ran for 11 years.
