Sisters upholden family tradition

ALARAH Williamson is only 17 months old but she already has a Holden merchandise collection that would be the envy of many racegoers.

Alarah and her big sister Aliye were among hundreds of racing fans who splashed some cash at merchandise alley.

For the Williamsons it was a family affair, with mum and dad tagging along to be decked out in the gear of their favourite driver, Craig Lowndes. Mum Emine Williamson said the family’s merchandise bill had totalled about $ 250, including buying the smallest Tshirt they could find for little Alarah.

“For now Lowndsey is her favourite driver so we got her a Holden T- shirt,” Mrs Williamson said.

“I grew up with my dad being a Ford supporter so I was the black sheep of the family.

“She might do the same and have a different opinion when she gets a bit older.”
