Sterling’s new strip
RAHEEM Sterling will turn up in Australia after all, albeit not for Liverpool who are selling him to Manchester City for a staggering $ 102m.
The winger is expected to smash the English and Man City transfer record in one fell swoop, becoming the third most expensive transfer in English Premier League history, behind Manchester United’s Angel Di Maria and Fernando Torres’ $ 104m move to Chelsea.
Sterling was absent from when Liverpool resumed training last week, citing “illness”, before refusing to travel with the Reds to Australia. With the transfer, Sterling will join Manuel Pellegrini’s squad today or tomorrow.
