Plan to spell out changes
TOWNSVILLE’S city plan, which is less than a year old, will undergo a number of changes – from fixing up spelling mistakes to changing the zoning of parcels of land. Townsville City Council’s Planning and Development Committee will today consider changes to the plan, adopted on October 13, 2014. The biggest alteration will be changing a parcel of land adjacent to the Stuart State Development Area from rural to light industrial. Committee chair Tony Parsons said the proposal would go to consultation before being voted on. Other changes are designed to keep up with industry standards and others correct spelling and grammar.
