Farewell for Walsh
PHIL Walsh would have looked at the mourners and wondered what the fuss was all about, says a great mate. The Adelaide Crows AFL coach, allegedly killed by his son on July 3, was farewelled at a memorial at Adelaide Oval yesterday. Friend and AFL identity Rob Snowden said Walsh would have been bemused by the large gathering. “He’d never want people dwelling over this,” he said. Snowden, who worked with Walsh at Port Adelaide a decade ago, said the 55- year- old lived a “fulfilled life”. “He’s had an extraordinary life, no doubt. We know it’s too short,” Snowden said.
