Ac­tion- packed ad­ven­ture awaits win­ners

ARE you aged be­tween 16 and 22 and con­sid­er­ing a ca­reer in the mil­i­tary?

The Aus­tralian De­fence Force Academy will throw open the gates to three lucky peo­ple next month as part of a com­pe­ti­tion which will pro­vide win­ners with the chance to en­joy an ac­tion­packed ad­ven­ture.

The first Ul­ti­mate Aus­tralian De­fence Force Academy Open Day Ex­pe­ri­ence will be held on Fri­day, Au­gust 28, and Satur­day, Au­gust 29, and in­clude re­turn flights to Can­berra, overnight ac­com­mo­da­tion, a mer­chan­dise pack, as well as the op­por­tu­nity to par­tic­i­pate in a range of ex­clu­sive ac­tiv­i­ties which aren’t on of­fer to the gen­eral public.

The com­pe­ti­tion aims to at­tract peo­ple aged be­tween 16 and 22 from all over Aus­tralia who have an in­ter­est in gain­ing mil­i­tary and lead­er­ship train­ing with aca­demic study.

“As part of their prize, the win­ners may have the op­por­tu­nity to tackle an over­wa­ter mil­i­tary ob­sta­cle course, fire a weapon on an in­door sim­u­la­tion range, ride a Rigid Hull In­flat­able Boat around Lake Bur­ley Grif­fin and en­joy one- on- one time with Aus­tralian De­fence Force per­son­nel and equip­ment,” Com­man­dant of ADFA, Air Com­modore Alan Cle­ments said.

Via an online form, en­trants must ex­plain in 50 words or less why they should win the Ul­ti­mate ADFA Open Day Ex­pe­ri­ence.

The three most cre­ative en­tries will win.
