Crisafulli home sells as market improves
THE family home of former Newman government minister David Crisafulli and his wife Tegan has sold within a month of being listed.
Marketed by Julie Mahoney of Harcourts Kingsberry Townsville, the Douglas home sold in 23 days for an undisclosed price.
The average time on market for houses in Townsville is 98 days.
The result comes as the city records a month of big sales, with two other houses selling for upwards of $ 1.2 million each in Douglas and Bushland Beach.
A property on St Albans Rd, Mount Louisa last week sold for $ 890,000, the highest price in the suburb in two years.
The Crisafullis have moved into a home at Hope Island between the Gold Coast and Brisbane, as Tegan pursues millinery business opportunities on the Gold Coast and David continues his Brisbanebased business consultancy.
“We wanted it to be a short and sharp campaign because we had a deadline, moving to Brisbane, so it was important for us to have it done and dusted,” Mrs Crisafulli said.
“Rather than chase a sale, which may never come, we listed our home for sale by set date.”
Mrs Crisafulli designed the house with the help of an architectural draftsman.
