DAVID Menzies’ one in a million shot has scored him a brand new Audi car.

Menzies, 37, became the first person in Australia to win a car in the Audi Quattro Cup with a hole- in- one on the 11th at Willows Golf Resort yesterday afternoon.

The Willows member only scored an invite to the event for Audi owners through friend James Davies but walks away with a $ 40,000 car thanks to his first ever hole- in- one.

“It was 140m, down wind and I was trying to get it close really,” Menzies said.

“I put it up there and I thought it was short and it rolled down and then all of sudden these two fellas down the end were yelling and cheering and carrying on.

“I thought they were jok- ing with me and then I went down there and found out it was in the hole.

“I didn’t believe it was my ball, I went down and saw it was and went ballistic.”

Doubles team Phil Schu-umacher and John Partlett were also on a high yesterday, winning the corporate event with 40 points to secure a spot at the national final at the Capital Golf Club in Melbourne in October.
