Townsville Bulletin - - LIFESTYLE -

DURING the recent school holidays 12 people were killed on Queensland roads. I strongly believe that the police should make the fines and penalties much tougher. There are way too many people speeding on our roads and too many deaths being caused by these reckless drivers. The consequences must be harsher!

Year 6, Good Shepherd Catholic Community School RECENTLY the V8 Supercars were in Townsville for the Townsville 400. It was lovely, sunny Townsville weather. The V8 supercars is an important event in the Townsville calendar. It brings lots of people, cars and trucks to our beautiful Townsville.

I was lucky enough to go to the race for two days, Saturday and Sunday. I went down to the pits and into the Red Bull to see Craig Lowndes and Jamie Whincup and their cool cars. It was exciting to see them. I loved the V8 supercars. On the way home I saw the Red Bull, Pepsi Max and Auto Super Cheap and Repco trucks. I also saw Mack the truck from the movie Cars 2. Townsville is so lucky to have the V8 race.
