FASHIONISTAS with a passion for labels and vintage clothes can get their hands on some designer bargains at a unique fundraiser this weekend.

Spring Fling will transform the iconic Dancenorth building into a trendy department store, with plenty of bargains on offer including international couture items and Australian labels such as sass & bide, Willow and Zimmermann.

First held in 2012, Spring Fling is the brainchild of Dancenorth’s fundraising committee.

The public is invited to consign their clothes with a portion of the sales to go towards Dancenorth’s community education program.

“Many local women have beautiful designer items that they have only worn once, so we saw an opportunity to help them clear some space in their wardrobe and to contribute to Dancenorth’s great work in the community sector in the process,” Dancenorth operations manager Karin Palmer said.

“We have a fabulous range of amazing labels and have been overwhelmed by the generosity of some of our city’s bestdressed ladies.”

This event will be held tomorrow from 10am to 7pm, and Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 4pm at the corner of Stanley and Walker streets.

SAVVY SHOPPING: Dancenorth performers Jenni Large and Ashleyy McLellan are excited about the threeday Spring Fling fashion sale to be held at the dance company’s home from tomorrow.
