Slim chance of showing grace
HER anaconda got none.
Nicki Minaj has called out MTV for snubbing her videos for Anaconda and Feeling Myself from the Video of the Year category at the VMAs.
She took aim at the TV channel for honouring “other girls” who have “very slim bodies” in their music videos, in a veiled reference to Taylor Swift’s Bad Blood video, which features skinny models.
Swift, who was nominated for nine VMAs, took Minaj’s tweet personally.
Minaj, 32, made news with the video for Anaconda, which featured a lot of booty, hardly any clothes and Minaj grinding on rapper Drake’s lap.
But unlike Bad Blood, Minaj’s clip was only nominated for Best Female Video, not Video of the Year. Minaj even brought Beyonce into her Twitter spray.
