IS ac­cused ‘ no risk’

A MEL­BOURNE nurse ac­cused of work­ing with Is­lamic State in Syria is not a risk to Aus­tralians, po­lice say, but has been re­manded in cus­tody un­til Novem­ber. Adam Brook­man, 39, ap­peared in the Mel­bourne Mag­is­trates Court yesterday on two ter­ror­re­lated charges af­ter he was ar­rested by Aus­tralian Fed­eral Po­lice at Syd­ney Air­port on Fri­day night. The fa­ther of five was repa­tri­ated to Aus­tralia af­ter he turned him­self in to Turk­ish author­i­ties last week. Brook­man did not ap­ply for bail.
