School alert on ab­duc­tion bid

ANOTHER Townsville pri­mary school is on alert af­ter the at­tempted ab­duc­tion of a Year 6 boy early yesterday morn­ing.

Heat­ley State Pri­mary School is­sued a warn­ing to par­ents yesterday af­ter­noon af­ter the boy was ap­proached about 8.15am by two men in a grey, four- door sedan.

The let­ter from prin­ci­pal Louise Wilkin­son goes on to say a pas­sen­ger got out of the car and told the boy to go with them, be­fore leav­ing. The man was de­scribed as about 170cm tall, be­tween 20 and 30 years old, with fair skin, fa­cial stub­ble and short black hair.

The latest at­tempted ab­duc­tion comes af­ter a nineyear- old boy was ap­proached out­side Wil­lows State School last Thurs­day and told to get into a car with two men.
