Bromwich cleared of biting
JESSE Bromwich was last night cleared of a biting charge, despite St George Illawarra’s Josh Dugan maintaining he ‘’ had a red mark on my arm with an outline of saliva’’.
The NRL judiciary took less than three minutes to clear Bromwich and allow him to continue helping Melbourne’s charge to the finals.
The incident was alleged to have occurred during the Storm’s 22- 4 home win over the Dragons at Napier’s McLean Park on Saturday.
Dugan went to NRL Central to give evidence against Bromwich, and said the Storm prop had definitely bitten his right biceps.
Replays of the Round 20 incident beamed inside the hearing showed Dugan try to grab the attention of referee Matt Cecchin for three tackles.
