Hooper to play Ki­wis

MICHAEL Hooper is free to play in the Rugby Cham­pi­onship de­cider against the All Blacks next week de­spite be­ing found guilty of strik­ing and sus­pended for one game by the SAN­ZAR ju­di­ciary.

Hooper will serve his sus­pen­sion for Manly in their quar­ter- fi­nal against Rand­wick on Satur­day af­ter the Wal­la­bies flanker was named on the Mar­lins’ bench ear­lier this week.

Hav­ing re­duced a twoweek ban down to one due to Hooper’s clean record, SAN­ZAR ju­di­cial com­mis­sioner Nigel Hamp­ton ac­cepted Hooper was le­git­i­mately sched­uled to play for Manly. Sev­eral Wal­la­bies bench play­ers had been re­leased to their clubs this week­end.
